After failing to win the elimination chamber match on Sunday, John Cena is left without an opponent for Wrestlemania.

The 16-time world champ has said time after time that he wanted to win his spot on the Wrestlemania card this year.

That started before the Royal Rumble, but 'Big Match John' failed to book his place in the main event by winning the 30-man battle.

Instead, Shinsuke Nakamura was the last man standing in the ring and he'll go on to potentially face AJ Styles in a dream match - if the Phenomenal One can defend his title at Fastlane.

For Cena, that meant he had to win the chamber match last Sunday to guarantee himself a match on April 8 in New Orleans - but it didn't quite go to plan.

He was eliminated by Braun Strowman, but it wasn't even the Monster Among Men that won the actual match - with Roman Reigns going on to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania instead.

Of course, Cena was never really in the plans for a title match against either Styles or Lesnar - instead, it's been rumoured that he'll face the Undertaker one more time.

The Deadman seemingly retired at last year's Wrestlemania, putting over Reigns in the main event before leaving his hat and coat in the ring.

He was tipped to come back for one final fight - but that was until last night when Cena cut a promo suggesting a match between him and the Undertaker would be 'impossible'.

Check it out in the video below where he starts addressing the issue after two minutes.

With a match between Cena and the Undertaker apparently off the table, one of the company's top guys appears to have no match heading into Wrestlemania.

But according to Cageside Seats, Cena could still get himself an opponent - in a way fans are going to hate.

In the video, he mentions moving to Smackdown to find a challenger - and according to rumours, WWE are considering the idea that Cena challenges Nakamura at Fastlane.

And what would be on the line? Only The King of Strong Style's WWE title shot.

If it does happen and Cena goes on to Wrestlemania, there will be uproar within the WWE Universe and it would make the whole Royal Rumble pointless.

Of course, it may only be a distraction.

Because after all - this is the WWE and a match between Cena and the Undertaker is never really impossible, but it will be interesting to see where the story goes from here.
