Northampton will be without Dean Beckwith and Abdul Osman as they prepare for the visit from Bury in a game that will make or break their play-off chances.
Centre-half Beckwith was sent off in last weekend's defeat at Bradford and serves a one-match suspension while Osman pulled a thigh muscle at Valley Parade and will miss out.
Manager Ian Sampson said: "Abdul Osman pulled his thigh against Bradford so that's probably the end of his season.
"We probably should have taken him off on Saturday but he picked up the injury with 15 minutes to go and we didn't have any subs left by that point."
Midfielder Luke Guttridge does return from a three-game ban of his own and is a ready-made replacement for Osman while Craig Hinton is likely to return in defence to replace Beckwith.
The Cobblers have no other injuries as they look for a win which could see them sneak into the play-offs if other results go their way.
Bury manager Alan Knill looks set to have a full-strength squad available for the crunch trip.
David Worrall and Ryan Lowe have missed training with knocks this week but are confident of being passed fit.
The Shakers must win at Sixfields and hope other results go their way if they are to claim a top-seven finish following last weekend's disappointing 3-0 home defeat by Torquay.
That loss saw Bury slip out of the play-off places but Knill says they must go all out for victory against the Cobblers and see where it takes them.
Knill said: "It's all down to one game now and we have to go for it. We have to do our own bit and see what happens."
