After spending over 20 years in WWE, Big Show's contract has finally run out and as of March 1, he's technically a free agent. He joined WCW way back in 1995 under the name of The Giant and instantly caused havoc, defeating Hulk Hogan early in his career to become the World Heavyweight Champion. The World's Largest Athlete then took on the name of Big Show in 1999 when he signed a 10-year contract with WWF and debuted as a member of Vince McMahon's stable, The Corporation.  And it's fair to say he had a very successful career. He's a seven-time world champion, having held the WCW championship twice, as well as the WWE Championship twice. He also won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship twice and the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once - the only man to ever hold all of these titles.  Big Show was also an 11-time Tag-Team titleholder, making him one of the most decorated superstars of all time, having also been Intercontinental, United States and Hardcore Champion. However, his last title reign came to an end in 2013 and since then, Show had been a mid-carder at best, which was perhaps down to his injuries. He was last seen on TV in September 2017, when a defeat to Braun Strowman was used to write him off-screen while he underwent hip surgery. Now 46, the future of Big Show is unclear, especially considering he's no longer under contract with WWE. His social media activity suggests that he's training and preparing for a return to the ring, but with who is unclear. The most likely outcome is that he's given a Legend's contract by WWE, which would keep him in the company, rather than see him go to a rival. But the whole situation has been very quiet, so it will be interesting to see what Big Show does next. He's still well loved by WWE fans, who have reacted to his contract ending by posting messages on social media.

It's good to see fans still hold a special place for Big Show, despite him not appearing on TV for a number of months.

And if his recovery goes well and he's offered a new deal, hopefully he'll be returning very soon. After all, it is WrestleMania season, so anything could happen.
