It may have been the Oscars last night but no entertainment awards were due for Manchester City versus Chelsea.

In the end, it was yet another three points for Pep Guardiola's indomitable side at the Etihad Stadium, even if they didn't really get out of second gear. That being said, truth be told, the way Chelsea played meant the Citizens didn't have to.

A rise in excitement seemed to emerge after half-time when Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game, yet Chelsea never mustered a single shot on target with Eden Hazard playing as a false nine.

And even when Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud were finally introduced into the game, Chelsea could only conjure a few half-chances in added time. Unsurprisingly, it warranted some pretty damning post-match analysis from resident Sky Sports pundits Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville.

Neville took aim at Antonio Conte for his tactics, stating: "I'm not sure how the game just drifted, drifted, drifted for 90 minutes with no reaction from the sidelines.

Neville and Redknapp hammer Chelsea' style of play

"Even the Manchester City fans inside the stadium wouldn't have liked that match. They'll be going home thinking Chelsea were terrible - it was a stroll."

Meanwhile, Redknapp spoke for any neutral fan by declaring: "That was anti-football, it was a crime against football what they did today.

"I really feel really strongly about it. I was looking forward to watching this game today."

Pretty strong words, right? Nevertheless, a clip has emerged on Twitter that shows the two pundits were absolutely spot on for speaking out against Chelsea's tactics.

Embarrassing clip of Chelsea goes viral on Twitter

The video shows 17 seconds of pure non-interest from the Chelsea players, and in the 70th minute of the match when an equaliser was almost certainly possible. Take a look:

You'd be forgiven for thinking Chelsea were 90 minutes deep into a 6-0 annihilation but no, they're in the heat of a match that could be vital for their top four chances this season.

It's the latest frustration surrounding the Blues under Conte this season, with the team seemingly as sullen as their boss after such a fantastic campaign last year.

The west London side haven't exactly fallen off a cliff, but you'd struggle to see the side of 2016-17 backing off like that and when the starting XI is virtually the same, there's very little excuse.

Was that 17 seconds representative of Chelsea's entire performance? No. Was it representative that something isn't quite right at the moment? Too right.
