Bayern Munich seem to be leading the chase for CSKA Moscow star Milos Krasic despite interest from the two Manchester sides, according to the player’s agent.
Dejan Joksimovic confirmed that the Serbian international turned down the chance to join Man City in January but wants to leave Russia immediately.
City had a bid accepted for Krasic but the player turned them down as he would rather a move to city rivals United.
Joksimovic said: ” “Manchester United have also been interested throughout the season and the player dreams of a move to such a great club.
"In January, he turned down Manchester City as he told me he wanted to move to a side of greater tradition and United are just that sort of club,” he added.
Bayern, however, seem to be the club most interested in the £15 million rated player: “The team that has expressed the strongest interest is Bayern Munich.”
Joksimovic continued: ““Krasic speaks no English and his best friend from their time at CSKA, Ivica Olic, would help him settle in Germany.”
The agent also confirmed that a host of top clubs including Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested but that has not transpired into anything concrete.
Any prospective move to Bayern is likely to hinge on whether the Munich side sells troubled playmaker Franck Ribery.
If United are likely to miss out on Krasic a move for Ribery could appeal to Sir Alex Ferguson but he will have competition from Premier league champions Chelsea among others.
