Shrewsbury top scorer Dave Hibbert has been offered a new contract but captain Graham Coughlan has been released.

Hibbert, whose 14 goals were not enough to secure a play-off place, had gone on record stating his desire to stay and chairman Roland Wycherley has moved to secure his services as Town look to replace manager Paul Simpson.

Dutch midfielder Benjamin van den Broek has also been offered terms along with defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, midfielder Kevin McIntyre and youngster Harry Hooman.

However, skipper Coughlan, 35, is on his way out of the Prostar Stadium after two seasons with the Shropshire club and will be joined by Paul Murray, Andreas Arestidou, Andre Grey and Jake Simpson - ex-boss Paul's son.
