Sead Kolasinac's rallying call to his Arsenal teammates earlier this week certainly worked as the Gunners beat AC Milan 2-0 at the San Siro on Thursday night.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey were the goalscorers, with Kolasinac saying before the game: "We cannot bury our heads in the sand."

Arsenal started the game brightly and took a surprise lead in the 15th minute when Mkhitaryan's deflected effort beat Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Mkhitaryan later hit the bar with another deflected shot, while Danny Welbeck was unable to beat Donnarumma when put through one-on-one with the Italian shot-stopper.

Ramsey then doubled Arsenal's lead on the stroke of half-time with a well-taken goal, courtesy of yet another Mesut Ozil assist.

Beating Milan away from home will serve as a much-needed confidence boost for Arsene Wenger's men, especially for Kolasinac, who has come under fire recently.

Following last week's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League, Gary Neville accused the Bosnian of not being able to move his feet quick enough.

"Kolasinac needs help," said the ex-Manchester United right-back. "The problem with Kolasinac is that he can't move his feet.

"Manchester City, every one of their players can. So when they change the direction or a quick combination around him, he's struggling badly."

However, Neville was made to eat humble pie on Thursday night when Kolasinac produced some wonderful footwork to beat two of Milan's players.

In the video below, with very little space to manoeuvre, Kolasinac nutmegs Suso, roulettes away from Franck Kessie and then plays a through ball to one of his teammates.

'CAN'T MOVE HIS FEET'

Way to prove your critics wrong, Sead.

Kolasinac and co. must use the Milan win to reignite their bid to finish in the Premier League top four, starting with Sunday's game at home to Watford.

That's according to Wenger, who said after the game: "At some stage, you need to respond and respond together with a good performance. That's what we did tonight.

"We have won again but we have not qualified. The result will lift the belief in the team again. When you lose three games in six days, it's always very difficult.

"We want to keep our focus and finish the job next week. That's what the target is."
