Barnsley owner Patrick Cryne has revealed there will be transfer funds available for boss Mark Robins to strengthen his squad this summer.
Cryne has been delighted with the progress he has seen so far at Oakwell under Robins' ambitious leadership. He is confident the former Rotherham boss will continue to operate successfully on a small budget.
"As a club we're looking to move forward with Mark - and I've been really impressed with what I've seen so far. You need a strong to be successful in this division and I'm going to make funds available so that Mark can bring in players," Cryne told the Sheffield Star.
"We'll operate prudently and we will need to be responsible, but Mark's a responsible manager and I know he's not going to make demands which the club can't meet. He's good at spotting players, you could see that at Rotherham. He was faced with a great deal worse financial situation there and he worked wonders with a tight budget."
