While 205 Live hasn’t been the best programme available on the WWE Network, fans are now more optimistic than ever for what the future holds and that’s all thanks to the impending return of the XFL.Vince McMahon’s personal football project is going to make a comeback and as it needs both a hefty investment and plenty of focus, he’s having to hand over the reigns of the cruiserweight-dedicated show to Triple H.For fans that already love NXT and what it's become, this shift of power and control has been welcomed with open arms because of the potential of 205 Live and its talented stars.

205 LIVE TAKEOVER

Already, The Game has been putting his foot down by switching away from the character-building focus Vince had cemented. Instead, he’s choosing to put more of a focus on the in-ring aspect to give 205 Live the same, consistent vibe of excellent wrestling we got in the Cruiserweight Classic.

Another big change that’s been speculated over this past week is that Triple H is behind new titles coming to both 205 Live and NXT. The latter is going to see the introduction of the NXT North American Championship with a six-man ladder match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans crowning the inaugural champion, featuring the likes of Ricochet and EC3.

For 205 Live, Triple H is introducing Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships, which are expected to be introduced shortly after WrestleMania 34. However, they’re not the only big changes that are said to be coming.

NEW ARRIVALS

WrestlingNews.co has highlighted that to further strengthen the brand, the King of Kings is looking to take 205 Live on the road again to do some experimental tapings between May and September. Not only that, but two current NXT stars are also being groomed to debut on 205 Live, rather than remain on NXT or be a part of either Monday Night RAW or SmackDown LIVE.

Lio Rush is one who is being groomed for a 205 Live switch, that’s despite him not being pushed much on NXT. However, it’s being claimed that there are people in the company who are high on his star potential for somebody of his size. So, it looks like that whole distasteful Emma saga is behind him. He was also supposed to be in the Cruiserweight Championship tournament, but was replaced by Buddy Murphy as he welcomed the birth of his second child.

This is one that fans might be on the fence with. New signing Ricochet is also being geared up to head over to 205 Live. While he’d be a massive addition to the cruiserweight division because of his ability, fans might argue that he’s so good, he deserves more than that.

With Triple H taking over, you can be sure that this decision is being made to benefit everyone involved and will certainly make 205 Live something to look forward to.
