Doncaster chairman John Ryan has revealed boss Sean O'Driscoll has been given the largest budget in the club's history.

Rovers defender Gareth Roberts has agreed to join Championship rivals Derby but Ryan says O`Driscoll will be handed money to spend on new players.

"The board have given Sean and his team the largest budget that has ever been given to a Rovers manager by a significant amount," said Ryan.

"We are currently working on finding a replacement (for Roberts) that Sean can add to the squad and Sean has his targets.

"We will not pay wages that we feel are out of tune with the real world and put the club in financial difficulties."
