The Golden State Warriors possess arguably the two greatest shooters the league has ever seen in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. The duo have already set historic marks for their sharp shooting in recent years and have played a major role in the success of their team - winning two championships in the last three years. It was their former head coach Mark Jackson who initially described them as the best shooting backcourt in NBA history, a comment which many people thought was extremely bold at the time. But they have proven him right and made it a legitimate claim as they're placing their name in the history books to back it up.With his first three of the game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night, Thompson claimed an impressive milestone that only he and his Splash Brother own.Thompson became the second player in NBA history to make at least 200 three-pointers in six different seasons.

His teammate Curry was the first player to do it as he sealed the feat in a win over the Atlanta Hawks last week.

This achievement once again sets them apart as the game's greatest ever shooters.

Klay may not get the attention and publicity that his fellow Warriors star gets but he's just as important to the Dubs and has has been a key part of their success.

His ability to get hot and consistently knock down threes adds another dimension to their offence and he's always the x-factor for the team as they rarely lose when he plays well.

The All-Star's defence is also among the best in the league and it's a huge surprise that he is yet to make an All-Defensive team in the league.

Despite a solid individual display, Thompson was unable to prevent the Warriors suffering a loss in Portland as they were beaten 125-108 by the red-hot Blazers.

The 27-year-old finished the game with 25 points on 9-of-19 shooting and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Thompson had to carry more of the load offensively as Steph was ruled out of the game with an ankle sprain.

The defeat saw the Oakland-based outfit's seven-game streak come to an end. They also failed to capitalise on Houston Rockets' first loss in 18 games and remain half a game behind them in the Western Conference standings.

The defending champions face another tough road game on Sunday as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
