For the first time in quite a while, Arsenal fans may have a glimmer of optimism heading into a Premier League game. After four consecutive defeats in all competitions, the Gunners earned a real positive result in the Europa League against AC Milan, winning 2-0 away in the San Siro. The scoreline was a very fair reflection of the game, with Arsenal dominating every aspect of the 90 minutes, showing some much-needed quality and passion.Arsene Wenger went for a new midfield trio in Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka, with all three turning in brilliant displays.Wilshere himself seemed to thrive in a more advanced role and the Englishman has sent a rallying cry to his teammates ahead of the Watford game.

WILSHERE'S TWEET

However, Arsenal fans are pretty concerned that Wilshere's words could come back to haunt him come 3:15pm on Sunday.

As we all know, this is Wenger's Arsenal we are talking about...

ARSENAL FANS REACT

The word 'cojones' is, of course, directed at Watford's Troy Deeney, who launched a scathing attack on Arsenal after their 2-1 loss at Vicarage Road back in 2017.

Deeney himself scored a penalty to equalise, before Tom Cleverly scored in stoppage-time to seal a famous win.

DEENEY'S RANT ON BT SPORT

Speaking after that game, Deeney said: "I've heard Wenger's already blaming (the decision) as the reason why they lost. I'm not going to be the one to tell Mr Wenger about himself, but there's a reason why they lost and it wasn't because of one penalty.

"I'll have to watch what I say. It's (having) a bit of cojones, a bit of nuts."

He added: "Whenever I play Arsenal, I'll go up and think, 'Let me whack the first one and see who wants it'. "I came on today (Saturday) and jumped with (Per) Mertesacker. I didn't even have to jump, actually - I nodded it down. The crowd gets up - 'Yeah, we've got somebody who can win it' - and they all just backed off.

"For me as a player I just think, 'Happy days'. That's my strength. I know I'm not technically gifted like they are, not as quick, but if you want to fight with me, I'm gonna beat you all day."

Will Arsenal get revenge? Or will Wilshere be left to rue his social media activity?
