West Ham are a club in crisis.

David Moyes' under-performing side were already heavily embroiled in a relegation battle before kick-off against Burnley on Saturday, but things went from bad to worse at the London Stadium.

The 3-0 loss to Sean Dyche's side was not even the worst bit, as fans took matters in to their own hands to voice their rage at the club's board.

Mark Noble had to wrestle a pitch invader off the pitch, while another managed to steal a corner flag and plant it in the middle of the pitch, reminiscent of Graeme Souness' antics while in Turkey.

Four fans in total made it onto the pitch, while owners David Sullivan and David Gold had coins thrown at them, with the former actually being struck by one according to Sir Trevor Brooking.

"I think a coin did hit David Sullivan on his glasses," he said. "I didn't see it but I did have that confirmed, which was part of the reason why they thought people in the directors' box should go inside to save any more problems like that."

The quality of the stewarding at the London Stadium has come under scrutiny ever since West Ham's move from Upton Park and yesterday, it faced it's toughest examination.

And, some fan footage from the game reveals the worrying standard of stewarding at the ground, with one man being caught falling asleep by the pitch.

You never want to see a man exploited for not doing his job on social media, but when a situation is as serious as this, his actions simply have to be made public and addressed by the club.

Shortly after the game, West Ham released a statement with regards to the incidents seen at the London Stadium.

It read: "West Ham United have immediately launched a full and thorough investigation into the incidents which marred the second half of today's match and are committed to taking decisive and appropriate action.

"An emergency meeting has been called with all London Stadium stakeholders. There will be no further comment at this time."

Now, the club await the FA's response, with hefty fines set to be the minimum punishment for the club.
