Oldham close on new manager

Published Add your comment

Oldham hope to have a new manager in place before the end of the month and say there have been over 40 applicants for the post.

The Latics endured a disappointing campaign which saw crowds at Boundary Park fall and ended with them parting company with Dave Penney.

However, a club statement said: "It is hoped interviews will take place over a concentrated period early next week and an appointment be finalised before the end of May."

Meanwhile, Oldham will host Preston as part of their preparations for the 2010-11 campaign on Tuesday, July 27. The match will kick off at 7.30pm.
