Celtic effectively wrapped up another Scottish Premier League title with Sunday’s 3-2 victory over Rangers at Ibrox.Josh Windass opened the scoring in the third minute before Tom Rogic equalised shortly afterwards. Daniel Candeias then put Rangers 2-1 up midway through the first half, only for Moussa Dembele to restore parity just before half-time.The winner was scored by Odsonne Edouard in the 69th minute, a goal that ensured Celtic finished the weekend nine points clear of their bitter Glasgow rivals."You always have to have humility in your approach to the game and respect your opponent," Brendan Rodgers was quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "There was a lot of noise before the game, but that's natural - they've been on a good run and at home, thinking they could get the victory."But I think the players today showed their quality and that real champion mentality. It's a big step for us to go nine points clear with a game in hand, but we still have a lot of work to do."An absolutely brilliant win and a great day for the supporters."

Scott Brown absolutely loved beating Rangers

Needless to say, every Celtic player celebrated jubilantly at the final whistle including, of course, club captain Scott Brown.

Here’s how the 32-year-old celebrated…

And he further endeared himself to the Celtic supporters, who already adored their combative long-serving skipper, with his post-match interview.

"We always believed we could do it, no matter what,” Brown said.

"We’ve come here four times and won four games, so we believe we can win here all the time now.

"They did a lot of talking beforehand - we stayed quiet. We usually do our talking on the park."

Here’s how Celtic fans reacted on Twitter…

Brown: We always believe we can win at Ibrox

The Scotland international was also quoted by the Scottish Sun as saying: “They talked all week and we did our talking ON the park. We always do that, and it’s definitely up there with my best wins here.

“We are on a high. We always believe we can come here and get the three points, and we did that.

“Even though we went down to ten men for so long and it was hard, we dug deep and defended really well.

“We’ve played with ten men before and won. We needed to believe in ourselves.

“We have top quality players, they are unbelievable. Look at the three goals we scored.

“We were a little bit slack from back through to front for maybe the first 45 minutes.

“But we came in at 2-2 after great finishes from Moussa Dembele and Tom Rogic, so they dug us out of the deep end.

“But whether we win or we lose, we always fight until the last minute. Whether there is 11 of us or ten, we have always got that belief.”

As well as a nine-point advantage, league-leaders Celtic also have a game in hand over Rangers.

The title race in Scotland appears to be over for another season.
