Manchester United have the opportunity to reach the quarter-final of the Champions League this evening. The Red Devils host Sevilla knowing that a win by any score will be enough to guarantee their progression.Following Saturday’s victory over Liverpool, Man United will enter the tie high on confidence. Yet Jose Mourinho is fully aware of the threat that Sevilla, winners of the Europa League in 2015 and 2016, pose to his team.“We’re playing against a team that didn't lose against Liverpool home and away - scored goals in Liverpool and drew the match in Liverpool and when I say Liverpool, it's an example of a very good team and an example of an important stadium with big tradition,” Mourinho said on Monday.“When I say Liverpool, it is just to say that Sevilla is a really good team and the result of the first leg is a result that leaves everything open.”Mourinho will hope that David de Gea has a quiet evening but he will be fully aware that the Spaniard can step up if needed. The Spaniard was exceptional in the first leg, making two brilliant reflex saves in the first half en route to a clean sheet. And Sevilla hope that De Gea isn’t in such inspired form this evening.

Sevilla have tweeted De Gea

The La Liga outfit sent a cheeky tweet to the United No.1 on Monday evening that has been retweeted more than 3,000 times.

“Hey @D_DeGea,” Sevilla wrote.

“Keep your best stuff for the @FIFAWorldCup this time 😉🇪🇸

“Thanks,

“Sevilla FC”.

Even Sevilla's 'keeper is inspired by De Gea

Sevilla clearly have a high opinion of De Gea. Even their goalkeeper, Sergio Rico, is inspired by the 27-year-old.

“Sincerely, I would like to stand out and be a hero just like him [De Gea],” Rico said.

“He put in a great performance in the first leg and it would be great to put in a repeat for us.”

Wanted by Real Madrid, feared by Sevilla. De Gea is clearly doing something right.

When he spoke to the media on Monday, Mourinho openly admitted that his side isn’t as strong as some of the other teams remaining in the Champions League.

But with De Gea between the sticks, there’s a strong case to be made that Man United have the best ‘keeper.
