One of the biggest talking points from Monday Night RAW this week was Roman Reigns and how he was temporarily suspended by Vince McMahon.

It all boiled down to the fact that once again, Brock Lesnar wasn’t here and that didn’t sit too well with The Big Dog. After talking about disrespect with general manager Kurt Angle in the middle of the ring, Reigns decided to head to the back and squared up to Vince - while shoving Shane McMahon slightly to get to him.

While many fans are talking about the suspension and the build-up to his eventual clash with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 for the Universal Champion, others had another important question on their mind.

Why was Shane even with Vince?

RAW APPEARANCE

Obviously, we don’t know the ins and outs and whether he was even adding any value to the production of RAW. However, someone who wasn’t too impressed with seeing Shane on the red brand is current SmackDown LIVE star, Kevin Owens.

The tension between Owens and Shane has been visible for months now. In fact, it reached boiling point on Sunday night at the WWE Fastlane event where The Prizefighters was literally half a second away from being crowned the new WWE Champion when Shane pulled the referee out of the ring.

That was down to Sami Zayn ducking a Super Kick which eventually hit Shane. So, Owens is continuing the tension by taking to Twitter to showcase his displeasure at seeing Shane on RAW while his SmackDown stars were touring.

OWENS' RESPONSE

He posted: “Glad to see our #SDLive commissioner has his priorities in order. His crew is at a alive event in Dayton, yet he’s sitting by daddy at #RAW in Detroit. Lovely!”

There have been rumours that both Owens and Zayn might simply be placed in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal, while Dolph Ziggler has emerged as a shock opponent for Shane.

However, based on what we’ve seen on television along with verbal spats on social media, it seems highly unlikely that there won’t be some sort of match to conclude this rivalry and Owens’ comments on social media only solidifies that notion.

With Shane set to make a WrestleMania announcement on SmackDown, you can only assume that it might affect Zayn and Owens, while Owens could bring this up in an attempt to further advance the storyline.
