De'Aaron Fox is having a fantastic rookie season for the Sacramento Kings, and that continued last night against the Miami Heat when he provided a clutch shot as the buzzer sounded to send the game into overtime, which ultimately lead to his team winning the contest. The Kings defeated the Heat 123-119 in overtime at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Wednesday night. Zach Randolph alongside Fox were Sacramento's top performers on the night with both of them scoring 20 or more points. The Kings rookie finished the night with 20 points, two rebounds, three assists, and was 9-of-14 from the field, which included a clutch basket as the buzzer sounded at the end of regulation to take the game into overtime. As you can see in the video below, it was one of the biggest buckets of his career, as Fox dropped in a floater as he drove his way towards the basket to send the game against the Heat into overtime with the score 111-111.

In overtime, Fox was a provider, as he assisted Bogdan Bogdanovic with his clutch three-pointer which ultimately sealed the game for the Kings on the night. With the win, Sacramento improved to 3-0 in overtime games this season.

Fox said after the game to ESPN: "We've got a lot of guys who aren't scared. When the game gets to overtime it's pretty much crunch time the whole five minutes and we have a whole bunch of guys that can make plays and make shots."

Although Sacramento is all-but-confirmed to be out of the playoff picture this season, their fans will like what their players are doing on the court, especially with Fox, as it gives them good promise for next season that they can snap their postseason drought which has lasted 11 seasons.

The Kings play next on Friday when they travel to Golden State to take on the current NBA champions in the Warriors.
