For years now, it seems like Arsenal always come out on the losing end of transfer deals.

Since moving to the Emirates Stadium back in 2006, the Gunners have had to make money to cover the near 60,000-seater and have lost plenty of top players along the way.

In just the last 12 months, Arsenal have lost Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool and Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United - two clubs that are currently comfortably above the Gunners.

When it became clear the duo would not sign new deals with the club, Arsene Wenger was forced to move them on and it seems like there is another crop of Arsenal players with their contract expiry dates in sight.

Another player Arsenal lost in January is Olivier Giroud after Chelsea snapped up the out of form Gunners forward.

The Frenchman has made a decent start to life at Chelsea and the Blues were also interested in Oxlade-Chamberlain before he ultimately chose to move to Liverpool.

According to The Mirror, Chelsea are in for another Arsenal star who they believe will not renew his contract.

The player in question is Welsh international Aaron Ramsey and the 27-year-old has managed seven goals and six assists in 23 outings this season.

When asked about his contract recently, Ramsey admitted the Gunners haven't even opened talks with him.

"Nothing to comment on at the moment," Ramsey told BT Sport. "I think they’ve been busy to tie up other contracts at the moment."

Former midfielder Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has said that he rates the player dearly and clearly, he would support the Blues making a move for the midfielder in the summer.

Lampard said: “I’m an admirer of Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal must try to secure his long-term future at the club.

“Ramsey has just over a year left on his contract and once again Arsenal have got themselves in a position where one of their key players’ deals is running out.

“I feel some sympathy for him because his position has changed over the years at the club. Sometimes, because they’ve had so many attacking midfielders, he’s been dropped further back.

“He is class when at his best and I do feel there is another level for him to strive for. He showed great quality at the 2016 European Championship."

Antonio Conte has consistently moaned about Chelsea's failure to spend money, would he get his wish for Ramsey?
