Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Ronda Rousey. Something which links the three of them together is that they have all worked with two of the most powerful executives in the WWE and UFC.

Although CM Punk probably doesn’t have a great relationship with Vince McMahon right now, it’s been well-documented that Lesnar is close to both Vince and the UFC’s Dana White, while White has been instrumental in helping Rousey reach the pinnacle in the Octagon by taking women’s mixed martial arts to new heights.

DANA VS VINCE

Now, things have done a complete 360 with Punk in the UFC awaiting his second fight - which could come at UFC 225 in Chicago - Rousey is now in WWE and makes her debut in a mixed tag team match alongside Kurt Angle when they battle Triple H and Stephanie McMahon while Lesnar’s future is still up in the air.

PERSONAL VS PROFESSIONAL

She said: “Dana is one of my best friends and is somebody who I can call up anytime and say let’s go for dinner, or drinks or even something completely random like asking him to fly to India, and he'd consider it.

“I don’t even have Vince’s number!

“It’s a very different relationship, I highly respect Vince and very much appreciate the opportunity he’s given me, but it’s more like, if I can get a handshake from him and him telling me I’ve done a good job, that totally makes my day.

“With Dana, I’d expect him to grab me, hug me, pick me up and shake the hell out of me! If Dana just shook my hand and told me good job, I’d be like ‘what the hell Dana, that’s it?!’ But with Vince McMahon, I’d be like ‘oh my God, Vince McMahon shook my hand and told me I did a good job!’

“It’s very different, I have a much more personal relationship with Dana, and a very professional relationship with Vince.”

The unique insight from Rousey does seem accurate based on what fans have heard in the past, and their unique personalities are probably why they’ve both been so successful.
