Torquay winger Wayne Carlisle has signed a new contract with the League Two club.

The 30-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal after a fine season for the Gulls was prematurely ended by a knee injury in March.

He is the first player to agree new terms at Plainmoor but Torquay are hoping Chris Robertson, Kevin Nicholson and Lee Mansell will follow suit shortly.
