Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is committed to leading the club to the Premier League next season.
Forest had a disappointing end to their last campaign which led to them finishing outside the automatic promotion spots and they were knocked out of the play-offs by Ian Holloway's resurgent Blackpool side in the semi-finals.
Davies has admitted that he was disappointed the club failed to bolster their promotion push in the January transfer window and wants to make sure he is able to sign players in the summer.
"We all know what we have to do for next season and I have got no other intention but to get my head down and get this job done," Davies told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"Anybody watching our team would have seen what we were before January and what we were after January. Everybody with half a brain would understand.
"But this is the chairman's club, it's Nigel Doughty's money. He and the acquisitions committee will decide what's right."
