The main event of Monday Night Raw was quite surreal this week. The Ultimate Deletion match between "Woken" Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt took place, but not inside the arena where Raw was being broadcast from in Dallas. Instead, it came from the Hardy Compound - for the first time ever in WWE. And it was as strange as could be expected when the "Woken Warrior" met "The Eater of Worlds". Highlights included "Vanguard 1" (head of security at the Hardy Compound) initiating "The Broomstick Protocol" and setting off fireworks at ringside to distract Wyatt. The two superstars then played a rather odd game of hide and seek in the "Land of Obsolete Men" as Wyatt chased Hardy with a kendo stick. Matt then welcomes Wyatt inside the "Dome of Deletion", where he tries to run him over with a lawnmower, but Wyatt counters. In the finale at "The Lake of Reincarnation", Senor Benjamin and Jeff Hardy appear off a distraction from "Vanguard 1", before Matt hits a Twist of Fate to pin Wyatt. Matt then pushes Wyatt into the lake, before declaring that The Great War is over and his opponent has been deleted. It was all rather mental for everyone watching - and will be remembered for a long time by fans, especially those who enjoyed The Final Deletion while the Hardy's were in TNA.  But not everyone got to witness the Ultimate Deletion on Monday. The WWE Universe inside the American Airlines Centre in Dallas saw a different main event.According to tweets from a fan in attendance, Elias took on Braun Strowman in a singles match.

And after "The Monster Among Men" defeated his opponent, Kane came out to attack him. Unsurprisingly, it didn't go well for him.

Strowman sent "The Big Red Machine" through a table, ending the segment.

For those inside the arena, seeing a live match was probably much better than watching what would have just been a video package from the Ultimate Deletion.

Still, though, everyone who missed events at the Hardy Compound will have to catch up, because it really was as odd as expected.
