After a couple of weeks of build-up and anticipation, The Great War is finally over as Woken Matt Hardy emerged victorious against Bray Wyatt at the Ultimate Deletion.

This is exactly what WWE fans wanted the company to do when they successfully brought back The Hardy Boyz after Matt’s genius saw the Final Deletion dominate the wrestling headlines when he was a part of Impact Wrestling.

THE ULTIMATE DELETION

Despite the Ultimate Deletion being filmed a couple of weeks ago at the Hardy Compound in Cameron, North Carolina, it still proved to be an engaging and entertaining spectacle to close Monday Night RAW this week - for those watching the show from home anyway.

BROTHER NERO

However, other than the weird spectacle itself, the one things fans have been left talking about is the return of Jeff Hardy, where he had a cameo in the closing stages where both he and Senor Benjamin did the impossible by creeping ou The Eater of World with their rendition of ‘He’s Got The Whole World in His Hands.’

While Jeff didn’t get physical as he recovers from injury, there’s understandable excitement at what his return could have in store for him. This revolves around Jeff’s attire during his short stint in the segment, suggesting that when he does return, he could be coming back as Brother Nero as opposed to his regular character.

Brother Nero’s arrival came thanks to the Lake of Reincarnation, and following Wyatt’s vague tweet before RAW aired, it suggests that Wyatt too will be returning as an altered character.

Now, all we can do is wait for Jeff to return so that we can finally see the Brother Nero character inside of a WWE ring.
