Despite being 41 years old, Vince Carter showed the world last night during the Sacramento Kings' loss to the Detroit Pistons that he can still jump, as he turned back the clock to slam home a powerful dunk. The Kings lost 106-90 against the Pistons at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Monday night, as the home team wasn't able to stop Blake Griffin on the night, who scored 26 points with nine rebounds, seven assists, and was 9-of-18 from the field.Buddy Hield led the way for Sacramento, as he scored 20 points with six rebounds, four assists, and he was 8-of-15 from the field. Carter, on the other hand, only had seven points and one rebound after 17 minutes of action. While Carter has slowed down from a player that once averaged 27 points per game, he is still showing flashes of the player he once was despite being in his 22nd season in the NBA. Fans were treated to a vintage Carter moment during the second quarter of last night's game.As you can see in the video below, off the back of a steal from a bad pass by Andre Drummond, the 41-year-old drove with the ball half the length of the court towards the basket, leaped in the air near the free throw and dunked it home like he was competing in the 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

Carter's seven points on the night moved him past Patrick Ewing into 22nd place on the NBA's career scoring list, so it was a reasonably good night for the NBA veteran despite the loss for the Kings.

Current Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy, who coached Carter for two seasons during his time with the Orlando Magic, said after the game to ESPN: "Vince's career has been amazing. He's slowed down a little bit but he's still playing at a pretty damn high level for a guy that's been in the league this long.

"He's not jumping over buildings now. He's just playing the game on intelligence, toughness and everything else. One of my favorites."

Carter and the Kings will be looking to get back to winning ways when they play next against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday.
