John Cena and The Undertaker's pending rivalry is one of the biggest storylines going on in WWE right now as we head into WrestleMania 34.

Cena has been trying to secure a match with The Undertaker in New Orleans for "The Show Of Shows" after being unable to solidify his Road To WrestleMania several times before. Firstly Cena attempted to win the Royal Rumble match in January, but was bested by eventual winner Shinsuke Nakamura.

He then tried one more time by entering the Elimination Chamber match but was bested by eventual winner Roman Reigns. In his last effort to make it to a WrestleMania main event, Cena then set his sights on the WWE Title.

Cena was added to the Six Pack Challenge WWE Title match at Fastlane against champion AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, and Baron Corbin. Unfortunately for "The Leader Of The Cenation" he was unsuccessful as "The Phenomenal One" retained his championship.

With Roman Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 34, and Nakamura challenging AJ Styles for the WWE Title, this leaves Cena without a dancing partner.

He tried calling out The Undertaker after Elimination Chamber but was told that match was impossible. Cena then attempted to do it one more time and was waiting on a response from The Undertaker.

It was expected that Taker would respond on Monday's episode of RAW, however, after being called a coward by Cena, Kane instead came out to deliver a Chokeslam that set up a match between the pair next week.

Cena continues to take shots at The Undertaker, this time through social media, by posting a rare old photo of "The Deadman" before his days in the WWE.

The picture shows a young Undertaker in his old 'Mean' Mark Callous gimmick in WCCW. During those days Taker only wrestled in trunks and wore a black and red glove. You can check out the photo here:

It should be interesting to see the continued buildup to The Undertaker vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 34.
