Dillian Whyte v Lucas Browne and Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker - it's a massive two weeks for the heavyweight division.

After weeks of speculation as to how the fights will unfold and what comes next, boxing fans will have a much clearer idea of the division's future when April rolls around. It promises to be a blockbuster conclusion to a month of heavyweight action.

The fight that everybody wants to see, of course, is Joshua taking on Deontay Wilder.

The WBA (Super), IBF and IBO champion has the challenged of Parker to negate on March 31 but the build-up to the fight has been burdened with talks of Wilder, who will be present in Cardiff.

A number of pundits have voiced their concerns that Parker may be overlooked amidst all the gossip, yet recent comments suggest Wilder is almost certain to be Joshua's next opponent.

Complications over future Joshua v Wilder fight

This year presents a unique opening for a unification bout with the calling of a WBA or WBO mandatory bout with Alexander Povetkin appearing the only obstacle.

Team Wilder have constantly accused Eddie Hearn of ducking a fight with the 'Bronze Bomber' after talks broke down in the winter.

Shelly Finkel even went as far as 'exposing' one of Hearn's emails in the post-fight press conference for Wilder's win over Luis Ortiz.

Eddie Hearn wants Dillian Whyte to fight Wilder next

Well, fight fans are somewhat perturbed that there may be some truth in Hearn playing hardball after an interview with iFL TV on Thursday night.

The video shows Hearn speaking with Whyte and the Matchroom promoter made the claim that if the 'Body snatcher' defeats Browne, that he wants him to face Wilder next.

Check out the clip:

Whyte is already number one in the WBC rankings and a win over Browne would move him up to mandatory position, lining up a Wilder fight.

Fight fans want no delay to Joshua v Wilder

That's all well and good but it has infuriated boxing fans who understandably want to see a Wilder v Joshua bout as soon as possible, especially considering the small window available for it to take place.

Take a look at the reaction below:

Of course, it would be hugely advantageous for Hearn to set up Whyte v Wilder as, assuming his fighters won, it would result in a fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world between two athletes on his books.

There is also a potential three fight plan for Joshua in which - after his fight with Parker - he could take on Povetkin and then the winner of a potential Whyte-Wilder clash.

However, boxing fans are showing no enthusiasm for that fight and quite frankly want to avoid any delay to Wilder v Joshua possible. It's not hard to see why.
