It was an emotional day at Old Trafford yesterday after news broke out that Zlatan Ibrahimvoic was leaving the club. The controversial Swede helped himself to 28 goals in his opening season at Man United, and it could have been even more had he not suffered a severe knee injury that kept him out for eight months. But, sadly, after making his return earlier on this campaign, it was clear that the 36-year-old was not the same player, and Jose Mourinho restricted his playing time as a result. He scored just once for the club upon making his return, and after reports emerged stating Ibrahimovic was to leave the club, the Swede confirmed that news on Instagram yesterday afternoon. He wrote: "Great things also come to an end and it is time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Manchester United. Thank you to the club, the fans, the team, the coach, the staff and everybody who shared with me this part of my history. #foreverred"

NEMANJA MATIC'S TRIBUTE

A number of Man United players have already made their tributes, with some deciding to bid a serious farewell to the Swede, whereas others have reacted... differently.

Eric Bailly strangely commented on Ibrahimovic's Instagram telling him to 'F*** off', and now Matic has also poked fun at his former teammate.

In a post dedicated to Zlatan, the Serbian wrote: "Do not forget to take your left leg with you, even if you only use the right one."

Brilliant. Not as brutal as Bailly's post, but that still represents a slight dig at Zlatan and his ego.

But the Serbian did finish off the post with a nice message as he wished him good luck and all the best for the future.

The Serbian's post has gone down very well, having already racked up 68,000 likes just an hour after being posted.

HOW OTHER MAN UNITED PLAYERS REACTED

Bailly's post has already being mentioned, but here it is in all it's glory...

Marcus Rashford sent an emotional message to the 36-year-old, thanking him for making him a better player.

Ashley Young wrote: "What A Guy, What A Character but What A Great Person. Good luck with your next adventure mate."

David de Gea also had his say.

And Paul Pogba also sent a tribute, claiming that he will be missed at Old Trafford.
