Although Anthony Joshua is in the final stages of his preparation for his winner-takes-all clash against New Zealand’s Joseph Parker, the Londoner has hit the headlines this week as rumours have linked him with a mega-money switch to the UFC.

Obviously, this isn’t a way to get the Olympic gold medallist to step inside of the Octagon. Instead, it’s been reported that the UFC is looking to ink a multi-fight, $500 million deal with Joshua as part of UFC president Dana White’s venture into boxing.

MEGA-MONEY DEAL

If he signs on the dotted line - which he might, as he has admitted he will do it if it makes sense - then this move will make Joshua the richest British boxer of all time.

If Joshua does sign, then this bout will be one step closer to becoming a reality. However, if we’re going off Joshua’s previous comments, then he might not have Miocic on his mind.

This is because in a recent interview, he claimed he’d love to get into a scrap with the dangerous Francis Ngannou - who Miocic recently defeated with ease - along with the currently-suspended Jon Jones.

PREVIOUS HISTORY

There has been some back and forth shade thrown between the two on Twitter last year, with Joshua taking a leaf out of McGregor’s book and asking who Miocic is, while Miocic hit back with a brilliant response of his own, claiming Joshua isn’t even the baddest guy in the UK.

For now, Miocic must focus on dealing with light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. If he can defeat him and continue making history, then not only will it be hard to deny that Miocic truly is the baddest man on the planet, but a clash against Joshua should also come to fruition at some point.
