Hulk Hogan's current relationship with the WWE is a bit rocky, to say the least.

Back in 2015 "The Hulkster" was released from his deal with the company after some highly racist comments were made from Hogan in a leaked personal video of his.

Despite WWE using him lightly on the WWE Network in commercials and such, Hogan has not returned to the company under any sort of contract and has not appeared on WWE TV.

There has been some chatter for the past several months about whether or not WWE would actually bring Hogan back. Some suggested that WWE was slowly easing him back into fans' lives by way of the WWE Network to test the waters.

Hogan has since apologized for his comments on the tape and has expressed a great interest in getting back in business with WWE. The speculation about a possible return for Hogan has never been higher than right now.

With the announcement that Hillbilly Jim will be inducted into the 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame class, Hogan has been the front-running candidate to induct his former on-screen pal into the Hall.

WWE is currently trying to keep Hall Of Fame inductors a secret so it's unknown if that's the plan or not.

A new shred of news has just came to light, however, making it seem that it's possible Hogan makes his return to the company on WrestleMania weekend.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson reported that WWE has been talking with Hogan for the past several weeks about a return.

If Hogan does return to the company, however, it remains unclear what his role with WWE would be. After PWInsider inquired WWE about the reports, they sent out a statement confirming that they have been having talks with Hogan (using his real name Terry Bollea).

You can check out WWE's statement on the matter here below (quotes via IWNerd):

“We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE.”

This is certainly a hot topic amongst fans, who would have mixed reactions if WWE decides to pull the trigger on a Hogan return. It should be interesting to see how WWE uses Hogan if they do come to an agreement with him.
