As we've noted, AJ Styles has been sidelined from physical competition on WWE TV and at live events as it's believed he suffered an injury to his knee at some point in the past several days.

WWE threw together a storyline at a live event in which Styles suffered a knee injury after being attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Fans have been relatively scared for Styles' health due to the fact that his role in WrestleMania this year is rather huge.

He is set to defend his WWE Championship against 2018 Men's Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura in one of the featured matches of WrestleMania 34 next month in New Orleans.

A Styles vs. Nakamura match has been on WWE fans' wish lists for quite some time, as it would rekindle an old rivalry from their days in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). WWE is selling this as a "dream match" for fans that hasn't taken place on U.S. soil.

While it's unclear exactly what the injury is or how severe it could be, as WWE has done a great job of keeping Styles' status under wraps as of late, a recent move by WWE suggests that Styles may be good to go after all.

WWE has now scheduled Styles for this weekend's live events. It should be noted that in a recent interview Triple H said that the WWE Champion was working hard to rehab his injury in time for WrestleMania.

Styles himself also said in a recent interview that he's a bit banged up right now but he'd work the match on one leg if he needed to.

If Styles truly was unable to work the match, however, Triple H indicated that a plan B and C is already in place to fill in for "The Phenomenal One" (quotes via SEScoops):

“You always have to have a Plan B, [and] just in case you have a Plan C,” Triple H said.

“AJ is an incredible performer. Replacing AJ Styles would be very difficult. [He’s] not necessarily a replaceable talent, but we would do our best.

“AJ is working diligently on rehabbing his injuries and getting himself in tip-top shape for WrestleMania,” Triple H said.

“We are trying to help him with that process of getting the best care and the best rehab and everything else possible. We’re hoping for the best.

“Right now he says he’s feeling a lot better and will be ready to go.

"Obviously we’ll get him doctors to make sure that he is ready to go and get a medical clearance, if that’s possible. He’s working very hard at it, so we’re hoping for the best.”
