Venezuelan keeper released by Shots

Venezuelan goalkeeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz has wished Aldershot all the best for the future after he was released by manager Kevin Dillon.The 25-year-old made over 50 appearances for the Shots but has left the Recreation Ground after losing his place under Dillon.

He said: "Wherever I go in the future I will continue to work hard and give 100% and be as committed to my new club as I have been at Aldershot."

He added: "The club gave me the opportunity to show my abilities and they supported me.

"The supporters are the heartbeat of the club and they have been superb to me.

"The club deserves to progress and move on and I send everybody my very best wishes for the future."
