Anthony Joshua is just two fights away from becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis.

Having won the IBF belt from Charles Martin in 2016 and added the IBO and WBA (Super) titles to his collection after felling Wladimir Klitschko, only the WBO and WBC straps are denying the 29-year-old a spot in the history books.

However, Joshua has two incredibly tough opponents in Joseph Parker and Deontay Wilder to overcome before he can hold every title.

First up, of course, is Parker. The pair's mega-fight at the Principality Stadium is less than two weeks away and it promises to be an absolutely slugfest.

While Joshua will remain the favourite going into the bout, there's a growing feeling that Parker will cause the unified champion some serious problems on the night.

Speculations grows over Anthony Joshua's weight

And one of the most talked about dynamics ahead of the fight concerns Joshua's weight.

Joshua would probably admit himself that he went into the Klitschko and Carlos Takam fights too heavy and he looked a lot leaner during the media workout in Sheffield. It seems he has learnt from his mistakes and will be looking to punish Parker with speed on March 31.

One man who thinks that will serve as a great advantage is former WBO cruiserweight champion and Sky Sports pundit Johnny Nelson who even used an interesting Mike Tyson comparison.

Johnny Nelson weighs in with Lewis & Tyson analogy

"Seeing how light I'm expecting AJ to come in, I don't think this fight will go the distance whereas I used to think it would do the distance," he stated in an interview with FightHype.

"Every heavyweight has an optimum fight weight, so you're going in heavy, you look cumbersome and you look flat-footed.

"But when they get it down - Lennox Lewis was early 17 stone, Mike Tyson was mid-15 stone, and that's when he was most destructive because he still had his strength and power, but had the speed as well.

"So now you're going to get two fighters who are strong, powerful AND fast. It's like having two sports cars with the best fuel put in them."

Nelson's opinion was corroborated by Malik Scott who was present for the interview and has sparred with Parker during his gruelling training camp.

Scott believes the respective slimming of both fighters isn't something to worry about but evidence that they are both taking each other extremely seriously.

And when the prize for winning is a shot at undisputed status, you can't blame them one bit.
