Despite the fact that they're in an FA Cup semi-final and are second in the Premier League, things are not going well for Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been marred with constant rumours of manager Jose Mourinho falling out with players, reportedly causing serious unrest in the dressing room.
The two names that have been most heavily linked to Mourinho's criticism have been Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw.
The former is now firmly out of favour after a great start to the season, while the constant public shaming of Shaw has become embarrassing.
So much so that The Sun have revealed that the staff around Old Trafford are growing tired of Mourinho's antics.
An inside source said: “The staff are not in Jose’s corner and he has few advocates.
“They absolutely hate the treatment of Shaw, who is a nice and popular lad around the place.”
Not a great omen.
However, the same source did reveal something very interesting about Mourinho's spat with Pogba, one which sheds new light on the entire situation.
He added: “The freeze between Pogba and Jose can be traced back to when he was ruled out injured.
“You could feel there was a stand-off. Jose was told Pogba wanted to do his rehab in Miami.
“The manager felt he would be better served staying in Manchester. He wanted to keep a closer eye.
“Pogba decided he wanted to go anyway, which did not go down well at the time.”
So it wasn't just the fact that Mourinho was being petty and not playing him because of his lack of defensive work, Pogba had openly disobeyed a direct order from his boss.
The French midfielder's form has never really picked up since he returned from his three-month lay-off, barring a few good displays, and it seems there is good reason behind it.
France manager Didier Deschamps has voiced his concern about Pogba's situation at United during the international break, with his star man getting very little game time ahead of the World Cup.
After the international showpiece in Russia, Pogba's future looks likely to be a hot topic. Who'd have thought that five games into the season?
