Charlton boss wants Rochdale striker

Published Add your comment

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson has confirmed he is interested in bringing Rochdale striker Chris Dagnall to the Valley.

Dagnall scored 20 league goals to help the Dale achieve promotion to League One and his form in front of goal has attracted Parkinson's attention. However, the financial situation at The Valley means no decision has been made on the Addicks manager's budget for next term.

"Chris is a player we watched last season and he's a good young forward," Parkinson told the South London Press.

"But we're not able to go for anyone yet."
