Assistant manager Neil Baker has revealed bringing in a commanding central defender is the club`s top priority this summer.

Peterborough's Exodus Geohaghon is a possible target having been transfer listed after making just 20 appearances for Gary Johnson`s men last season.

Baker told the club's official website: "Exodus is a player I watched quite a lot when he was at Kettering. I was impressed with him and felt that he would step up into our league quite comfortably."

He added: "Joining a Championship club and one that was struggling at the time wasn' t so easy for him but he is a good defender and is the sort of player we should be trying to attract to Crewe."
