Shots keeper signs new deal

Goalkeeper Jamie Young has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal at Aldershot.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Shots on an initial three-month deal in March after being released by Wycombe, impressed towards the end of last season and has been rewarded with new terms.

He told the club's official website: "I have been so happy playing football again and enjoying my time with Aldershot. Everything about the club has been positive since I arrived. The supporters have been terrific and I have been made to feel so welcome and I look forward to seeing everybody again at the start of the new season"

He added: "The start of last season was a tough one for me so to be involved with a good side that reached the play offs was great.

"I always aim to play as well as I can and represent my family in everything I do. I am grateful to have had the opportunity at Aldershot Town and we have all learned a great deal due to the experiences of the last few months of the campaign."
