Arsenal are being linked with a move for Barcelona defender Dmytro Chyhrynskyi.
The Ukranian international has found it difficult to break into the first team at the Nou Camp, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly considering a loan move for the 23-year-old.
Chyhrynskyi started his career at Shakhtar Donetsk, making his debut for the senior side as a teenager in the Ukrainian Premier League in 2004. A loan move to Metalurh came the following season, and on his return Chyhrynskyi became a regular for the Hirnyky.
An August 2009 move to Spanish giants Barcelona came the defender's way, and after lengthy negotiations between the two parties he moved to the Nou Camp on deadline day.
With only 12 La Liga appearances to his name, Chyhrynskyi is yet to prove his worth after the reported €25 million move. Pep Guardiola remains confident in the player's ability, but is willing to loan the player out for a season to gain further experience.
Spanish newspaper Sport reports that Wenger has turned his attention to the centre back after failing in a move for Yaya Toure.
The Frenchman has been linked with a string of defenders over previous months as he looks to bolster his squad for a title challenge next season, and Chyhrynskyi has emerged as another possible summer addition in north London.
