Captain Barry Fuller has signed a new two-year contract to keep him at Gillingham until the end of the 2011/12 season.

The 25-year-old has become the first out-of-contract player to commit his future to the Gills, who suffered relegation from League One last season.

Fuller, who joined the club in January 2008, has seen his time at Priestfield disrupted by a series of injuries but he has still managed to make 97 appearances in all competitions for the Kent outfit.
