New signing David Fox is expecting a tough battle for places next season after joining Norwich on a two-year contract.

The former Colchester midfielder moved to Carrow Road for an undisclosed fee and is delighted to be reunited with Canaries boss Paul Lambert, who signed the 26-year-old from Blackpool while he was in charge of the Us.

"It's a fantastic club playing in really strong league next season," Fox told the club's official website. "Hopefully I can play my part in us doing well, I mean it's a massive set-up."

He added: "Everyone wants to play as high a standard of football as possible and I'm no different to that. Some of the clubs and the stadiums we'll be playing in should be all set up for some really good games.

"Hopefully we'll hit the ground running next season and it's not going to be an easy thing, but I'll try and hopefully get my way into the team."
