Patterson ready for challenge

Plymouth's new signing Rory Patterson is confident he can reproduce his prolific goalscoring form for Coleraine in League One next season.

The 25-year-old fired 41 goals in the Irish League last season and has signed a two-year deal with relegated Argyle, who are targeting a return to the Championship at the first attempt.

"I'm massively delighted to be joining such a big club. I've always scored goals and I can't wait for the challenge of hitting the net in League One," said Patterson.

"I just want to make the step up and impress. It was good to train with the Argyle squad and it was clear there are some very good players at the club.

"I've also enjoyed playing in the national team, alongside top players from England's Championship division and the Scottish Premier League. Now I just want to be a success at Home Park."
