Accrington boss John Coleman is hoping to sign a centre-back as he continues to reshape his squad.

Michael Symes, Bobby Grant and Darran Kempson have already left the Crown Ground and moved onto new clubs, but Coleman acted quickly to bring in Craig Lindfield and Michael Hall on one-year deals.

Hall, formerly a Blackburn reserve team player, will compete with Dean Winnard for the left-back berth.

There had been suggestions that the arrival of Hall could see Winnard moved into central defence but Coleman told the Lancashire Telegraph: "He's a left-back who has been at Blackburn and is someone we've got hopes will be a good player for us."

He added: "Dean can play in the centre but he has been at left-back. We can't say he'll be replacing Darran. I'm still looking for a centre-back."
