Crewe keeper Adam Legzdins is a potential transfer target for League Two rivals Burton.

Legzdins is set to leave Gresty Road at the end of the month after turning down Alex's offer of a new contract.

Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido has been strongly linked with a move for Legzdins, as well as Partick Thistle`s Jonny Tuffey.

The Canadian told the Burton Mail: "We are speaking to various players and their agents and I can confirm that we have shown an interest in both Adam Legzdins and Jonny Tuffey, but that is as far as it has gone at the moment."

He added: "Nothing is by any means signed and sealed as far as a new keeper is concerned but the fact we have been linked with a couple of names already shows there are players out there. It is a case of weighing up our options and taking it from there."

With only veteran Kevin Poole on their books, Burton are in need of a keeper after failing to sign Artur Krysiak, who spent most of last season on loan at the Pirelli Stadium from Birmingham but chose to sign for Exeter after being given a free transfer.
