Morecambe have completed their second summer signing with the capture of Paul Scott from Bury.

Scott, who has spent the last six years at Gigg Lane, has signed a two-year contract.

The 30-year-old told the club's official website: "I went to have a look at the new ground last week and I was excited about the prospect of playing there this season. There was a great vibe around the place and I can't wait to get going now."

Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy added: "Paul is another very experienced player at this level, who will be a great addition to the squad. He can play in defence or midfield and is an extremely competitive player who I'm sure will do very well for us."
