Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is set to return to Italy nine months after swapping the red of Roma for the red of Liverpool.Liverpool were drawn against Roma in the semi-finals of the Champions League, whilst holders Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich."Whichever opponent we would have got, I would have said there is a chance because it is football – so there is a chance against Roma," said Jurgen Klopp straight after the draw."But if anybody think this is the easiest draw then I cannot help this person; they obviously didn’t see both games against Barcelona."Salah will have insider knowledge on Liverpool's opponents after spending two years with Roma before sealing a then club-record £37.1m transfer to Anfield.The 25-year-old former Chelsea flop has taken the Premier League by storm and, incredibly, has already scored 39 goals for his new club in all competitions.Salah's former Roma teammates may have beaten the mighty Barcelona - but they didn't fancy going head-to-head with Klopp's side.

Salah reveals what the Roma players have texted him

The Premier League's top scorer told CNN International that he messaged his old teammates to congratulate them on beating Barcelona earlier this week.

"They've all said: 'We don't want to play against Liverpool,'" Salah told CNN in an interview released on Friday afternoon.

"It would be nice to go back to Rome, it's my old club. I love the fans there and they love me too.

"I still talk to most of the players there. We were very close to each other and we are good friends.

"Of course, I have happy memories. We played together for two years and were fighting together in all the games. We had a good time in the dressing room."

Roma's official Twitter account sent a classy tweet to Liverpool's star man after the semi-finals were confirmed - and Salah responded.

Liverpool have blown away Manchester City and Porto in the Champions League knockout stages - and Klopp will urge them to do the same in the semi-finals.

"We can [win the Champions League], we are in the semifinal," Salah added, as per CNN.

"I always say that we take it step-by-step but we are in the semifinal, everything can happen.

"Everyone went into the quarterfinal with this emotion that we have to win, we can do it. Now with the semifinal, it's two games to the last step."
