Bradford defender Simon Ramsden has signed a new two-year contract at Valley Parade.

The 28-year-old, a free signing from Rochdale in the summer of 2009, verbally agreed details of his new deal with manager Peter Taylor in May and has now officially put pen to paper after returning from his holiday.

The right-back was a regular starter for the Bantams last season and was made skipper by Taylor for the last game of the season.
