Pesch excited for Oxford test

Published Add your comment

Burton manager Paul Peschisolido believes there will be an added edge to their opening game of the npower League Two 2010/11 campaign against Oxford.

The Brewers will face newly-promoted United at the Pirelli Stadium on August 7 in what will be the first time the sides have met since they did battle in the 2008/09 Conference season when Burton were promoted to the Football League.

Peschisolido told the club's official website: "It's certainly an interesting one first up. They're newly promoted and will be wanting to hit the ground running, but we will be ready. They will probably spend a bit of money too during the summer."

He added: "I think it adds to it as well that they were the last team we faced at home in the Conference before we were promoted so the supporters from both sides will certainly be looking forward to it.
