Brentford striker signs new deal

Published Add your comment

Brentford striker Carl Cort has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

The 32-year-old netted seven goals in 30 appearances last season as the Bees claimed an impressive ninth-placed finish in League One.

Manager Andy Scott told the club's official website: "Carl was a real benefit to us last year and, whilst he might not of started all games, he certainly gave me an option to change things for particular games.

"If we are to continue to drive the club forwards we are going to need both his experience and ability and I am delighted he has decided to commit himself to the club for a further season."
