Aldershot boss Kevin Dillon is in the market for a new left-back after withdrawing the contract offer made to Andy Sandell.

Sandell is a free agent after his previous deal expired at the end of last season and will now leave the League Two club after failing to respond to the Shots' offer of a new contract.

Dillon told the club's official website: "The contract offer was previously made to made to Andy but as he has not responded to the club, despite a number of attempts to finalise the situation, it has now been withdrawn. I said earlier in the week that I am keen to attract players that want to play for Aldershot Town and I have a list of potential targets that would suit the parameters required."

Sandell, 26, initially joined Aldershot on loan in November 2008 before signing a permanent deal three months later and went on to make 63 appearances for the club.
