Leyton Orient have signed former Charlton midfielder Matthew Spring on a two-year contract.

The 30-year-old becomes the ninth new arrival at Orient this summer having left The Valley at the end of last season.

Manager Russell Slade said: "Matt is a really important signing for us. He has different qualities to Adam Chambers and Stephen Dawson - he will get on the ball and make us play.

He added: "He is comfortable in possession and will look after the ball."
